Anti-Inflammatory, Immune-Boosting Tea

When I’m sick, tea is my go-to drink. It’s warming, soothing, and just helps me feel better, even for just a moment. This tea includes turmeric and ginger, two powerhouse anti-inflammatory foods. I especially recommend this if you have body aches or a sore throat.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups water

  • 1.5 knobs turmeric

  • 1 knob ginger (or more if you like some zing)

  • 1/2 tsp peppercorns

  • Squirt to 1/2 lemon, squeezed

  • Honey, to taste (manuka is very healing!)

Instructions

  1. Add water, turmeric, ginger, and peppercorns to a pot and simmer for about 5-10 minutes (longer simmer = stronger tea).

  2. While that simmers, add honey & lemon to a mug.

  3. When done, pour the hot water through a strainer into the mug.

  4. Enjoy!

Notes

Any extra can be put in the fridge for another time.
