Turkey Leftovers Recipe Roundup
Whether you hosted Thanksgiving or brought a bunch of turkey leftovers home, you may not know what to do with it all now. You may also be tired of eating straight up Thanksgiving leftovers and are ready for some other flavors. Check out some of these recipes to completely transform that turkey!
Before You Start
A few things to keep in mind when trying to use up all that turkey:
You can use turkey in place of chicken, so if you have a favorite chicken dish, sub that leftover turkey instead.
If a recipe below has ground chicken or turkey, simply omit the ground meat and add shredded turkey to the last 30-40 minutes of cooking.
Turkey stays good in the fridge for 3-5 days after it’s initially cooked, so if you cooked your turkey on Thursday, it’s best to either use it or freeze it by Tuesday at the latest.
If you can’t get through all your turkey leftovers before Tuesday, freeze it! Just put it in an air tight container and put in the freezer. It will stay good for about 3 months; just remove from freezer and thaw in the fridge before using.
